Description Panicum virgatum ‘Gold Fountain’ Switch Grass. A narrowly upright, deciduous perennial which forms clumps of purple to glaucous, mid-green stems which bear upright, flat, linear, mid-green leaves to 60cm long. The leaves turn yellow in autumn and light brown in winter. In early autumn, broad, diffuse, weeping panicles to 50cm long of tiny, purple-green spikelets are borne. Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 1m and a spread of 75cm. Supplied size 1 x Plant in 9cm Container
