Description Rudbeckia hirta ‘Cherry Brandy’ Black-Eyed Susan. An upright, clump-forming, annual or half-hardy perennial with elliptic, toothed, mid- to dark green leaves. From late summer into autumn, dark, wiry, branching stems bear lance-shaped leaves and shades of cherry-red flowers with darker central cones. Grow in moderately fertile, preferably heavy but well-drained soil which does not dry out, in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 60cm and a spread of 40cm.
