With this Build Your Own Paddle Set, you can customize your grit progression to suit your sharpening needs — whether you’re repairing edges, refining bevels, or achieving a mirror polish. Choose from a wide range of grits, including: 120 micron (120 grit), 60 micron (240 grit), 30 micron (500 grit) – Coarse and aggressive grits for reshaping and repairs 15 micron (1K grit), 9 micron (2K grit) – Medium grits for work sharp edges, edge maintenance, and steps before further refining 6 micron (3K grit), 3 micron (6K grit), 1 micron (15K grit) – Fine to ultra-fine grits for mirror polishing and finishing Each stone is pre-mounted on Wicked Edge-compatible paddles, ensuring perfect fit and ease of use. The resin bond allows for a longer-lasting abrasive surface and a more consistent scratch pattern, making it ideal for high-end knives, tools, and precision sharpening. Resin stones do need to be lapped over time, and we recommend using the Jende Glass Lapping Plate with SiC powders. It is not recommended to use diamond lapping plates on diamond abrasives when lapping the resin.
