We have a lot of customers who are intolerant of cow’s milk cheese but this does not mean that they can’t enjoy a delicious and well-balanced cheese board. Here is a selection for those of you who don’t want cow’s milk and those of you who fancy a change, 100g each: Ossau Irraty – Our favourite ewe’s milk cheese from the Pyrenees, sweet and floral. Made with unpasteurised milk and traditional rennet. Rosary Goat – our best-selling soft, fresh goat’s cheese from Co. Tyronne – white, creamy with just the right amount of tangy aftertaste. (V) Lanark Blue – From Errington’s cheeses in South Lanarkshire, classic blue ewe’s milk cheese, sweet, complex and very lovely. Made with unpasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet. Ribblesdale Smoked Goat – medium smoking of this nutty tangy goat cheese gives it a lovely mellow edge. (V) Sykes Fell Ewe –Made by Peter and Grace Proctor at Greenfields Dairy in Goosnargh, Lancashire. The Proctors have been winning awards for their cheeses since the 1930s. Sykes Fell is made with the milk of sheep which graze locally in the Trough of Bowland. It has a semi-hard texture and a good tangy flavour. Made with pasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet. one pack of biscuits and a limited edition eco-tote bag.
