There is a strong diurnal temperature variation here resulting in grapes with intense flavours and fine acidities. The Cantine is owned by 60 farmers who between them have 200 hectares, 90% of which is Montepulciano and a clone unique to their vineyards, and this pooling of resources has allowed the creation of an ultra-modern winery that is quality rather than quantity oriented. The winery and vineyards carry SQNPI sustainable certification.
