The 1×4 Suehiro Gokumyo Sharpening Stone 20K is the highest grit in stone form from Suehiro, bringing out a hair popping edge and mirror, not to mention a smooth slicing edge that is superb for slicing fish or for straight razors. The main purpose of this sharpening stone is to polish, but it can also be used for light touching up of otherwise intact edges. It also is a stepping stone a leaping off point for further refinement through strops and emulsions. While the 1×4 size is meant for use with the KME Sharpener and the Wicked Edge Uni Stone Holder Paddles, it is also a great size for a slip stone, field stone or a pocket stone for knife sharpening on the go, or to remove unwanted final burrs. This stone plays well with others: The Suehiro Gokumyo 20K sharpening stone is a premium sharpening stone that works on almost all types of knives, scissors, tools and chisels, including those made with abrasion resistant steels. On tadeonal carbon and stainless steels, the 20K will polish the edge to a high mirror finish. On more abrasion resistant steels, the 20K is better as a finishing and polishing grit. It will reveal lower grit scratches that have not yet been worked out.
