1×6 Jende Diamond Lapping Film For Sharpening stand out for its remarkable effectiveness with abrasion-resistant steels and ceramic blades. Each grit comes with 5 PSA backed abrasive pieces which adhere to a 1×6 acrylic platen on a standard blank , and are compatible with the Jende JIGS, TSProf, Edge Pro, Hapstone sharpening systems, and with the Wicked Edge Uni Stone Holder Paddles. The acrylic platform is both flat and stable, and allows easy changing of the films. The individual pieces of film can be wrapped around curved items such as dowels, allowing them to be used for serrated edges. These high quality abrasive films are available in ten grits: 80, 60, 45, 30, 15, 9, 6, 3, 1, 0.5 micron. The wide range means they can be used as an entire progression, to clean up scratches from diamond plates and coarser natural and synthetic sharpening stones, and/or for finishing and edge to a mirror finish. These diamond films can be used dry, with oil, or with water. We recommend using and keeping them clean with water for the best results. The 0.3mm thick substrate means more secure diamond material, which lasts 5-10 times longer than thinner films. You can order replacement films here.
