1×6 Jende Nanocloth Strop – Fits JIGS, Edge Pro, Hapstone and TSProf

The 1×6 Jende Nanocloth strop is on the cutting edge of stropping technology.  Made from synthetic materials, the 3-dimensional honeycomb structure allows abrasive emulsions to fill up the columns, keeping more abrasive on the strop rather than on the knife while stropping. It also allows for more dynamic stropping capabilities through applying different pressure. Light pressure to “tickle the edge” is for finish stropping while adding more pressure will compress to expose more abrasive, making it more aggressive at the same grit level. Thirdly, there is uniform feedback no matter which direction you strop in. Jende Nanocloth has no weave. Other microfiber and woven material strops are directional, and change the resistance from one side to the other when stropping,  like vacuuming a rug, or seeing the grass cut in different directions on a baseball field. The Nanocloth material is 1mm thick on 5mm thick color-coded acrylic. They are mounted to standard 1×6″ blanks that are compatible with the Jende JIGS for Knives, Edge Pro, Hapstone, TSProf Sharpener stone holders, and with the Wicked Edge Uni Stone Holder Paddles. The Nanocloth itself is the same material for all grits variations and are not preloaded with any abrasive. We recommend Jende Poly Diamond Emulsion or Spray for optimal performance. The Jende Nanocloth strop is a synthetic stropping material that has no weave, so feedback is the same in all directions. Other weaved strops tend to have noticeable resistance change feedback variations, like a rug when vacuuming, which can make you second guess your stropping stroke. The Honeycomb structure is very consistent. The shape allows the emulsions to fill up the honeycombs, keeping more abrasive on the strop and off your knife. The shape also fills up and beads on the surface, giving a snow-shoe effect with even scratches when stropping. The depth of the honeycomb has little compression – less than leather in general.  Because of the depth of abrasive in the honeycomb tubes, differential pressure can be used to give the strop more or less aggression by adding pressure for more aggression, and super light strokes to just tickle the edge for finish stropping. The color-coded Acrylic base allows you to instantly recognize the grit strop you desire to use, saving time and confusion. Laser etched to ensure long-lasting and clear identification marks.
