Kangaroo leather is 10 times stronger than leather of the same thickness, but the real advantage to roo is the smooth surface that makes it superior for final stropping of an edge. The 1mm thinness of the kangaroo skin allows for precise angle maintenance during stropping while minimizing the risk of compression and edge rounding. They can be used clean for final stropping, or loaded with our Jende Poly Diamond Emulsions, Sprays & Compound Bars for a more aggressive approach. The 1×6″ Jende Kangaroo strop is 1mm thick kangaroo leather glued on 5mm thick acrylic and mounted to a standard 1×6 blank that will fit any Jende JIGS for Knives, Edge Pro, Hapstone, TSProf Sharpener, and with the Wicked Edge Uni Stone Holder Paddles.
